An introduction to Le Verre de Vin Business aspects of introducing a wine by the glass service Find out how Le Verre de Vin does it Le Verre de Vin specifics

How it works.

Still Wines

An unlimited number of still wines can be offered from one Le Verre de Vin system, requiring only a separate stopper for each bottle in service.

Having dispensed a glass of wine, a rubber stopper incorporating a non-return valve is inserted into the bottle in place of the original cork. To 're-seal' the bottle, the server merely applies gentle upward pressure having sited the stopper to the system's vacuum head. Le Verre de Vin is then activated and displays an amber light to indicate that the re-sealing process is in operation. Within 2 to 5 seconds a green light is illuminated indicating the process is complete. The bottle is then returned to its display/cold storage location.

Sparkling Wines

The procedure for re-sealing sparkling wines is very similar.

A valved 'champagne' stopper, equipped with a safety clip to hold it in place, replaces the original cork. Having sited the stopper onto the pressure nozzle a gentle upward motion triggers the Le Verre de Vin system which injects a metered head pressure of carbon dioxide into the bottle. The lighting sequence of amber - green is repeated and on completion the bottle is returned to its cold storage location.

Over 1000 of our bar staff use Le Verre de Vin every day. The system is as simple to use and as effective as I was led to believe - Claude Young, Youngs Brewery, London

Once installed, Le Verre de Vin becomes an integral part of wine by the glass service, which is why many users position the system at the heart of a back bar wine focal point or 'station.' This ensures the system is used during each dispense, helping build customer confidence in the overall service.
