Today, Bermar International unveils its new brand, The Bermar Collection. Bermar International is the World‟s leading wine, sparkling wine and Champagne preservation system manufacturer. For over 40,000 customers in more than 80 countries, Bermar’s unique technology is at the heart of their wine by the glass service. This year alone, Bermar systems will underpin in excess of £2 billion worth of wine, sparkling wine and Champagne by-the-glass sales. The new brand launch, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the business, establishes a platform for continued global growth by firmly showcasing the proven quality of their British manufactured products.
The all new Bermar Collection sees the introduction of an entirely reinvented range of Le Verre de Vin preservation systems.
“When we began work on the new range, we had to reconsider everything that defines world-class wine preservation systems – power, precision control, sustainability and reliability” explains Tom Berresford, Operations Director. “We set our engineers the challenge of finding the perfect design for every element. The result is a complete revamp—the most elegant, exact, and contemporary range of preservation systems from the traditional Classic and Compact models to the contemporary Tower and Pod Bar systems. The new Le Verre de Vin models are not only more aesthetically appealing, but they tick the boxes on speed and precision, all with our lowest ever power consumption and cost of ownership.”
To celebrate 25 years at the cutting edge of the industry, The Bermar Collection will include a new silver ‘anniversary’ option for the Classic model , as well as a Satin Black option. This is quite a change compared to the original systems from 1991.
Conner Nudd, the firm’s Marketer, added “We wanted to freshen up the style of the Classic but keep the iconic shape. This is something that people recognize and associate with the Bermar Collection. We’ve stripped the gold logos, modernized the paintwork, illuminated the resealing process and added some elegant badge work to the product. Who knew something so Classic could look so contemporary!”
2015 saw a company management restructure at Bermar, with Tom Berresford joining the business that his father first established in 1990. Tom arrived as Operations Director following a career in the Digital Media and Financial Services industries, where he was sales director of a UK based digital services company. After that, he ran the Sport, Media & Entertainment desk at Barclays’ UK Private Bank. He brought with him an abundance of commercial experience, a broad and influential network, and a burning desire for progress and to firmly cement Bermar International as the world‟s leading wine services business. Tom’s core emphases are in promoting the Bermar brand and marketing activities, as well as handling the firm’s Global Accounts and reviewing routes to market, both in the UK and around the world.
Tom set a clear marketing mandate for the organization to drive growth, both in their home market and internationally, through their on-and offline approaches. Conner was a key appointment in this area and brings expertise in almost every area of marketing, from social media campaigns to full scale company rebranding. His arrival has helped Bermar shake up their strategy, focusing on new markets, products, and initiatives available to the business.
