At Le Verre de Vin, our goal is to help you serve wine as the winemaker intended. Here we learn first-hand from the Bowers Harbor Vineyard just how effective our wine preservation system has been to their wine-by-the-glass service and how Le Verre de Vin continues to help them drive sales.
Nestled on a picturesque Old Mission Peninsula in Northern Michigan is the Bowers Harbor Vineyard. The boutique winery offers wine tasters, new and established, an opportunity to sample over 25 wines in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Behind the quiet loveliness of their quaint tasting room is a thriving wine-by-the-glass business driven by a dedicated team, a flexible and speedy guest service, and a wine preservation system that enables them to meet a growing demand for sparkling wines.
“Le Verre de Vin has allowed our tasting menu to grow tremendously. We are able to offer 4-6 Sparkling wines EVERY day now that we can re-carbonate the bubbles after we close and have fresh bubbles in the morning when we reopen. We have quadrupled our sparkling wine sales due to the fact all of our guests are able to taste it daily,” comments Kristy McClellan, Director of Operations, Tasting Room Manager.
They use a Le Verre de Vin Tower which is designed for both still and sparkling wine. Pictured above is the Tower unit.
Thanks to Le Verre de Vin, Bowers Harbor Vineyard handles high traffic and tourism peak seasons with ease. “We can have up to four different wine bars open simultaneously. That’s over 100 open bottles! We could only offer this to our guests because we can preserve the wines each night with the Le Verre de Vin,” Lindsey says.
The benefits of an effective wine preservation system were also key to ensuring the Vineyard reduced wastage, improved service to guests, and delivered a wine-by-the-glass bar that continues to increase sales.
“Le Verre de Vin has saved us so much money because we don’t have to dump flat sparkling wine down the drain. Also, the still wine system is much more consistent at preserving our wines than hand pumps. Over pumping wine strips away the aromas and flavors we work so hard to grow and produce, while wine bottles that were not pumped enough would get too much oxygen and spoil very quickly. I would recommend their wine preserving system to restaurants and tasting rooms everywhere.”
We’re proud to be an integral part of the Bowers Harbor Vineyard wine preservation strategy—sharply increasing sales and enabling their excellent wine-by-the-glass service. Share your testimonies with Le Verre de Vin – the professional’s choice for wine preservation.
